Former Englewood Councilman Marc Forman announced his endorsement of Phil Meisner for Englewood Mayor.
Forman, who was elected to the Englewood City Council in 2011 and represented the First Ward for six years, noted Meisner’s ability to connect with residents and address the needs of Englewood’s unique community.
“As a former Englewood Councilman, I had the opportunity to work with Phil Meisner,” Forman said. “Phil is a man of integrity. He is extremely accessible and straightforward and will serve the interests of Englewood’s diverse community.”
Meisner said the support of a public official with Councilman Forman’s financial expertise was a tremendous honor to his campaign.
“I’m honored to have Marc’s endorsement for Mayor,” Meisner said. “His many years of service to the City, lending his lifelong financial expertise and planning acumen to solving problems large and small, speak for themselves. His contributions made him a great councilman and an outstanding public servant. That is why his confidence in me as I run for mayor is another pillar of support for the campaign and is so greatly appreciated,” Meisner said.
Phil Meisner is a long serving Board Member of Englewood’s Vincente K. Tibbs Child Development Center and has served on Englewood’s Economic Development Corporation and Englewood’s Board of Zoning Adjustment, the Mayor’s Commission on Budget and Finance, and as Vice Chairman of the New Jersey State Anti-Bullying Task Force. He is the former chief of staff for Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle and Assemblyman Gordon Johnson and has served as a legislative director and aide in the New Jersey State Assembly. Meisner is currently the vice president and assistant general counsel for Hudson Media, Inc./Hudson Capital Properties.
